To be a public institution whose collection, protection, preservation, and presentation of archaeological heritage is one of the foundations of the preservation and development of the cultural and national identity of the Republic of Croatia;
As a modern, state-of-the-art institution at the highest European level, respecting the highest standards of quality and timeliness, using modern technology and information technology, enhancing museum profession and scientific work in the field of its business;
Increase of public awareness, increase of public interest in the city of Vukovar, Croatia and abroad, as well as better positioning of the Museum at local, national and international level;
To be a significant cultural institution in the area of archeology at the state level and the most important scientific research center of Vučedol culture;
Raising the awareness of the local community and Museum staff on the importance and value of the cultural heritage of Vučedol;
To become the starting point and the center of Indo-European studies.
